The strike also killed Bardawil&#8217;s wife.<\/p>\n<p>The number of Palestinian deaths in Gaza since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas has risen to more than 50,000, Gaza\u2019s Health Ministry said, coming after a ceasefire was ended last week by Israel via a stream of strikes, the AP reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to its military, Israel also recently launched <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/5208999-israel-strikes-hezbollah-ceasefire-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">strikes in retaliation against<\/a> Lebanon during an unstable ceasefire with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah that came together last year.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Israel <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/5200152-deadly-israel-strikes-hamas-gaza-fragile-ceasefire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">also went forward<\/a> with a stream of deadly strikes aimed at Hamas in Gaza, which stopped a ceasefire.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s office said the attack that killed 400 Palestinians came after \u201cHamas\u2019s repeated refusal to release our hostages, as well as its rejection of all of the proposals it has received from US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and from the mediators.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength,\u201d the prime minister\u2019s office also said.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump also backed the earlier attack, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying the Israelis consulted with the White House before going forward with the action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but also the United States of America, will see a price to pay.
