Musk posted to X \u2014 which he also owns \u2014 without directly acknowledging the incident. <\/p>\n<p>In May, another SpaceX Starship rocket <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/space\/5321166-spacex-starship-latest-flight-trouble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spun out of control<\/a> and broke up during a test flight.\u00a0The Federal Aviation Administration <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/space\/5326316-faa-demanding-investigation-after-spacex-starship-breaks-up-in-flight\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/space\/5326316-faa-demanding-investigation-after-spacex-starship-breaks-up-in-flight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">later requested an investigation<\/a> into the mishap.<\/p>\n<p>The company on Thursday said the latest explosion left no hazards for residents in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Starbase team is actively working to safe the test site and the immediate surrounding area in conjunction with local officials,\u201d SpaceX wrote online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no hazards to residents in surrounding communities, and we ask that individuals do not attempt to approach the area while safing operations continue,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A SpaceX rocket exploded late Wednesday during a static fire test, which the company attributed to &#8220;a major anomaly.&#8221;
